Apple announced its new mac air today at a special “Back to the Mac” event in Cupertino. The Air will now be offered in two screen sizes, one with a 13.3-inch display, which is the same size as the previous generation, and a new even smaller version that will feature a 11.6-inch display. Steve Jobs is billing the new MacBooks as a marriage between a Macbook and an iPad. The two systems will feature five to seven hours of battery life, flash storage, and full-sized keyboards and track pads. They go on sale today and prices start at $999.

This larger image helps the patient understand the doctor's explanations more easily and enables the doctor to "zoom in" on a specific area of the tooth. An important advantage to this new technology is that it reduces the amount of radiation by 90%. Digital x-rays are also faster. The digital image only takes a minute or two to appear in the monitor. In addition, this new technology is friendly to the environment since no chemicals are needed for developing the image.
